Split handed, split fingered.

 Leon 'Daddy Wags' Wagner

 Mr. Tiger, Al Kaline.

This was quite a unique card, especially for 1991 Score of all things.

WTF card. Ron Hassey & Danny Heep. Play at the plate.

I just can't wrap my head around this one at all. It's like they're looking to the umpire for instructions or something. Weird.

It appears that Heep was out on this play, as it corresponds to the May 5 1990 game in Oakland. Heep was thrown out at the plate while trying to score from 1st on a Carlos Quintana double. Heep had tripled and scored earlier in the game, and the Sox won 5-1.

Ron Hassey's main claim to fame is being the only man to catch 2 perfect games. He caught Len Barker's and Dennis Martinez's.

Danny Heep ended his career in 1991 with Atlanta. They obtained him from the White Sox in May, he hit .417 in 12 AB's with 4 runs and 3 RBI, and they released him in June. He had gone 0-4 in June.

Who's got the best teeth?

Bill Stoneman has a nice subdued smile. He had no idea he'd soon be moving to Montreal.

Jim Clancy will be happy to show your sister how to grip the ball.

Cesar Cedeno smiles the smile of a man that knows the price of a human life.

Mark Eichhorn had one of the greatest relief seasons ever in 1986, and I was happy that he was back with the Jays in time to be a part of the 2 World Series teams. I always think of him as Ike Markhorn for some reason. I'm not sure what he's laughing at here, but I'm willing to bet that no one else would find it funny.

Dave Henderson really had one of the best smiles of all time.

Tony Taylor had a pretty good career, but imagine how much better it could have been if they'd allowed him to hit with a real bat! That's also got to be the worst excuse for a signature I've ever seen.

Andres Galarraga is smiling because the photographer doesn't know he's not left handed. I wonder if Andres sent a thank you note to Jim Joyce for not demoting him to the 2nd most famous Galaragga in major league history?

Random cards. Jason Giambi.

Jason seemed liked just another player in the minors. Obviously he devoted himself to a difficult but ultimately rewarding weight training regimen. Oh yeah, and a whole freaking bunch of steroids.

I don't think his career drop off can totally be blamed on stopping the steroids. I think that like a lot of players, he hit the early 30's and his eyesight naturally got worse.

At age 30 he had 129 BB's and only 83 K's, while hitting .342. At age 32 he also had 129 BB's, but 140 K's while hitting only .250.

He had a nice signature in the minors.
