That has got to be the weirdest slide I've ever seen. Tim looks like a fish flopping around out of the water. I'm guessing the reason for the weird slide is because Tim decided that continuing to live a normal life somewhat free of pain was better than running into Lance Parrish.

Swing Sequences. Frank Thomas.
Frank was another in a long line of victims of the curse of turning 32. What curse is that? The curse of having your eyesight get a bit worse, that curse. So many players hit the wall at that age that it's ridiculous. And what's even more ridiculous is that it's not something that is discussed. Very few players get past that age without a dropoff, and those that do probably had super incredible vision in the first case.
Frank's line after the 2000 season:
| .321 | .440 | .579 | 1.018 |
And at the end of his career:
.301 .419 .555 .974 156
Those last 9 seasons:
| .273 | .387 | .528 | .915 | 136 |

Base running sequences. Tim Raines.
This one was a lot of fun to put together. Raines beats out an infield hit, leads off and then steals second, leads off of second, takes off for third with the crack of the bat, and rounds third on his way to scoring at home.
Yes, I'm a geek.

Signers. Carlton Fisk.
On August 12, 1986, the White Sox played the Tigers in Detroit. For the first time ever, Steve Carlton and Carlton Fisk made up the battery. Little things like that make me happy.

Random cards. Carlton Fisk and George Bell
The noble warrior.
This was a 40+ year old man. My groin hurts just looking at it.

Random cards. The Cuban Comet, Minnie Minoso
Minnie hit for average, got on base a lot, had a bit of power, stole some bases (although with the amount of caught stealing's, he shouldn't have), and played a good outfield. He had 3 4th place MVP finishes, was 2nd in ROY voting, and won 3 gold gloves and was a 9 time all star. He had 1963 hits. With all that and a career OPS+ of 130, he's one of those guys that might sneak into the Hall if the Veteran's Committee was feeling generous. I think he'd make the HOF a better place.
I love his full name: Saturnino Orestes Armas (Arrieta) Minoso

Love the cartoon on this one.

Random card. Dick Allen.
Dick Allen was one hell of a hitter. Imagine how great the Wampum Walloper's numbers would have been if he'd played in an offensive era, and played past the age of 35.
Random card. Frank Thomas.
Frank Thomas giving the finger to a cameraman? My oh my.
One of the least subtle examples of a player sending a message, and one of the least talked about.
