Great Canadians. John Hiller.

There aren't a ton of major leaguers from Canada, but a lot of them have been very good. Not surprising that there's been an increase lately, as the generation that grew up watching the Blue Jays winning the World Series is reaching the bigs.

Born: April 8, 1943 in Toronto, Ontario, CAN

Random stat. Hiller's ERA+ in 1973 was 286. That's just freaking incredible.

Hiller played 15 seasons, all for Detroit. He famously missed the entire 1971 season after suffering a heart attack, but came back from that as a better pitcher than he was before.
